Kathrine Fleur Bio

Kathrine Fleur is the visionary founder and creative force behind Magic Bikinis, a bespoke fashion brand that has been at the forefront of bodybuilding bikinis since its inception in 2008.

She started small, crafting each piece by hand, but through her dedication to impeccable quality, meticulous attention to detail and the incredible customer service she quickly garnered a loyal following. Under her leadership, Magic Bikinis has become synonymous with custom-made, high-performance bikinis that not only meet the functional demands of competition but also showcase the individual personality and style of each athlete.

Over the years, Kathrine has expanded her brand to include a wide range of products and accessories all tailormade for the fitness industry. Magic Tan was launched in 2015, followed shortly by Magic Muscle Glaze, Magic Bikini Glue, Magic Body Polish, Magic Bikini Wash and most recently her own branded Magic Heels.

Today, Kathrine Fleur with the help of her amazing team of designers and seamstresses remain at the top of their league in the bodybuilding apparel industry, continually pushing the envelope and keeping abreast of global design trends, colours and crystals.

Her journey is a testament to the power of merging one's passions with a clear vision, creating a brand that is much more than just bikinis — it's a celebration of strength, beauty, and the art of competition.

The Start of Magic Bikinis

"As an off shoot to the wedding industry, I found myself making fun and funky hens party costumes, and supplied numerous wedding shops around South Africa. It was through this line of adult fancy dress costumes that a young bikini competitor got my details and inquired about a little outfit that she needed for a fitness routine for a bodybuilding show.

I duly made her a racy little number for the show. She was thrilled with the outcome, which of course delighted me no end! (we all know about the perfectionist side to serious bodybuilding).

By the by she asked me if I made bikinis. I gulped! Oh my stars?!?!?!! Never in my professional career had I ever made a bikini, and especially not one designed to tastefully expose as much flesh as possible without it looking obscene! I laughed, and joked and said that I would give it my best shot!

Gosh - talk about blood, sweat and tears, but eventually... we got it right! That beautiful young athlete won just about every competition that she entered after that. I'd like to believe that my bikinis played some part in her victories and rise to stardom in the fitness industry. I soon became, and I am still to this day- her bikini sponsor!"
